Samford rolls past Florida A&M 58-21

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Samford's Michael Eubank threw for 280 yards and two touchdowns leading the Bulldogs past Florida A&M 58-21 on Saturday.

The Rattlers (0-2) led 14-10 at the end of the first quarter when Gerald Hearns scored from a yard out. FAMU's Akil Blount earlier intercepted Eubank and ran 65 yards to score to put the Rattlers up 7-3.

But Samford (2-0) broke the game open in the second. Eubank completed an eight-yard score to Tony Philpot for a 17-14 lead with 13:23 until half. K'rondis Larry ran 10 yards for a score seven minutes later to make it 24-14.

Eubank carried the ball six yards to score for a 31-14 lead. Then Justin Cooper intercepted Carson Royal and scored from 13 yards out to make it 38-14. Anthony Pistelli made a 27-yard field goal to make it 41-14 at the half.

Devin Bowers had 144 yards rushing for FAMU.
