BYU quarterback Tanner Mangum threw another long pass in the game’s waning moments to defeat Boise State on Saturday.

One week after his 42-yard Hail Mary took down Nebraska, Mangum—playing in place of out-for-the-seasonTaysom Hill—tossed a 35-yard pass to Mitchell Juergens with 45 seconds remaining that, despite its lofty hangtime, managed to fall into the wide receiver’s hands and in between three Broncos defenders.

That play put the Cougars ahead 28–24 for their first lead since the first quarter. They added seven more points 15 seconds later when Kai Nacua returned an interception off Boise State quarterback Ryan Finley 50 yards for a touchdown and a 35–24 win.
