Utah players recovering well after shooting

Utah players Marcel Brooks-Brown and Lo Falemaka are recovering well after sustaining gunshot wounds Saturday night.

Utah running back Marcel Brooks-Brown and tight end Lo Falemaka are recovering well after sustaining gunshot wounds Saturday night.

During an altercation with three male suspects at a private party, Falemaka and Brooks-Brown were shot in the torso.

Brooks-Brown, 18, was released from the hospital Monday and Falemaka, 20, is expected to be released within the week.

Falemaka has appeared in two games this seasonon special teams.

Brooks-Brown has not yet appeared in a game this season.

Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham is unsure when either player will return to the field.

Arrests have not been made, as the shooters have not yet been identified.

Both players are expected to make full recoveries.
