After two straight wins collectively by 99 points to open the season, No. 6 USC takes on Stanford for its first Pac-12 Conference test of the year.
In Week 2 against Idaho, USC quarterback Cody Kessler had a career-high 410 yards passing with three touchdowns and no interceptions to move the Trojans past the Vandals 59–9. Kessler finished 26-of-31, as USC totaled 738 total yards on offense.
Stanford got its first win of the 2015 season when it defeated UCF 31–7 in Week 2. Quarterback Kevin Hogan had a career-best 341 yards passing and three touchdowns to lead the Cardinal to victory after a disappointing Week 1 loss to Northwestern. Stanford's defense held UCF scoreless until just 1:22 remained in the fourth quarter.
