Kentucky hosts Florida at the Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday in Week 3 of college football.

The Gators are 2–0 to start the season after beating the New Mexico Lobos and the East Carolina Pirates. East Carolina quarterback Blake Kemp attempted to tie the score late in the fourth quarter, but fumbled the ball. Florida defensive end Alex McCalister recovered it with 12 seconds remaining, securing a Gators win.

The Wildcats also earned wins the first two weeks, defeating Louisiana Lafayette and South Carolina. Kentucky broke a 22-game losing streak on the road against the Gamecocks. Previously, the last road win for the Wildcats was against Louisville in Sept. 2010.
