UCLA cornerback Ishmael Adams was reinstated after his August arrest on robbery charges, head coach Jim Mora told reporters on Tuesday.

Adams, previously a starting cornerback for the Bruins, was accused of using force to take a cell phone from an Uber driver during the incident, TheLos Angeles Timesreported earlier this month. Mora suspended Adams indefinitely the following day.

On Monday, the Timesreported Adams would not face felony charges for the alleged robbery. Instead of appearing in court for a previously scheduled appearance on Tuesday, Adams awaits a decision from the Los Angeles city attorney’s office for misdemeanor filing consideration on his case.

Michigan State claims No. 1 in college football Power Rankings after Week 3

A redshirt junior, Adams started all 26 games for the Bruins over the past two seasons and also was the team’s primary returner on kickoffs and punts. Last season, Adams intercepted two passes and returned both for touchdowns, also adding a kickoff return for a touchdown in a win over Arizona State.

Mora also announced defensive back Fabian Moreau is out for the season due to a Lisfranc injury in his foot. Moreau, a senior, could apply for a medical redshirt.

No. 9 UCLA is 3–0 and ranks fifth among Pac-12 schools with 179.3 passing yards allowed per game.
