Ball State vs. Northwestern: Game time, live stream, TV coverage
No. 17 Northwestern hosts Ball State on Saturday as it looks to enter its conference slate undefeated. The Wildcats have ridden a staunch defense, led by linebacker Anthony Walker, and the momentum from a season-opening win over Stanford all the way into the Top 25. While Northwestern has had early-season success, the development of true freshman quarterback Clayton Thorson will ultimately determine how far they go in the Big Ten. Thorson was less than spectacular in NU's win over Duke last week.
Ball State comes off a 28–17 win over Eastern Michigan. Ball State has displayed a solid rushing attack through three games behind Darian Green and James Gilbert. If the Cardinals' defense can give Northwestern's offense some trouble, there's potential to keep this game close.
