UCLA LB Myles Jack (knee) out for season
UCLA linebacker Myles Jack is out for the remainder of the season after injuring his knee at practice on Tuesday, reported Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register.
Head coach Jim Mora said on Thursday that Jack tore his meniscus and will need four to six months to recover, reports Kaufman.
According to a report by Ryan Kartje of the Orange County Register, Jack has a $5 million insurance policy to protect him against injuries, which he and his mother purchased over a year ago.
Jack, one of the best defenders in college football, has made 15 total tackles for the Bruins this season. The junior also captured the game-sealing interception in UCLA's thrilling 24–23 Week 3 win against BYU that pushed the team’s record to 3–0.

Through his first two seasons with the Bruins, Jack recorded 163 tackles and four interceptions. He has also received playing time at running back, and rushed for 267 yards as a freshman, 113 as a sophomore and seven on two carries this season as a junior.
Jack showed the faith he has in his teammates by posting a tweet on Tuesday afternoon after sustaining the injury that said, “Next man up.”
The former four-star recruit is eligible for the 2016 NFL draft.
