Anderson, Edmonds lead Fordham past Monmouth 54-31

NEW YORK (AP) Kevin Anderson passed for 340 yards and five touchdowns and Chase Edmonds scored three times as Fordham rolled to a 54-31 win over Monmouth on Saturday.

Anderson threw two of his four first-half touchdowns to Edmonds, who also ran for a 56-yard touchdown for a 35-17 lead at the half.

Anderson, who had five touchdown passes last week, was 19 for 27 with two interceptions. Edmonds had 18 carries for 95 yards and 24- and 18-yard touchdown receptions. Robbie Cantelli caught seven passes for 119 yards, both career highs.

Fordham (3-1) finished with 551 yards but had four turnovers while the Hawks (1-3) had 363 yards and five turnovers.

Lavon Chaney ran for two touchdowns for Monmouth and Cody Williams, who threw three interceptions, and Bent Onett each had a touchdown pass.
