WACO, Texas (AP) Former Baylor football coach Grant Teaff is recovering at home after being hospitalized with blood clots in his lungs.
The 81-year-old Teaff has been executive director of the American Football Coaches Association since 1994.
AFCA spokesman Vince Thompson said Monday that Teaff would remain on oxygen and blood thinners for several weeks. The spokesman said doctors feel Teaff's condition will be manageable with medication and that he will return to good health.
Thompson said Teaff was in good spirts and resting comfortably at home. The former coach was hospitalized five nights before being released Saturday.
Teaff was 128-105-6 with the Bears from 1972-1992. He led Baylor to Southwest Conference championships in 1974 and 1980.
