The Maryland Terrapins will wear hand-painted “Black Ops” helmets to go with their all-black alternate jerseys Saturday when they take on Michigan, the team announced.
Maryland debuted the black alternate jerseys in 2012, but has only worn them a few times since.
The Big Ten opener kicks off at 8 p.m. and will be a “blackout” at Byrd Stadium, the Terrapins’ home field.
Maryland’s assistant director of social media and branding tweeted out a picture of the helmets on Monday.
