Cal Poly stomps Idaho State 58-26

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) Chris Brown threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more to lead Cal Poly to a 58-26 win over Idaho State on Saturday night.

Brown completed 5 of 7 passes for 95 yards, sending 8- and 59-yard scoring throws to Willie Tucker, and piled up 132 yards on the ground. Kori Garcia had 146 yards rushing and three touchdowns for Cal Poly (2-3, 1-1 Big Sky), which snapped a two-game skid.

Also scoring for the Mustangs was Kyle Lewis, whose 27-yard fourth quarter touchdown run became the final score of the game, and Stephen Pyle, who kicked a 35-yard field goal. Cal Poly scored on all but four of its 13 possessions and never trailed.

Michael Sanders threw for 285 yards, three touchdowns and an interception for Idaho State (1-4, 0-2). Two of those TD throws were to Madison Mangum, while Xavier Finney rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown.
