Four-star 2017 big man Mitchell Robinson has committed to Texas A&M.

The news was first reported Saturday by CBS Sports. Listed at 7'0" and ranked No. 33 in the 2017 class by Rivals.com, Robinson marks the first ‘17 commitment for Billy Kennedy and the Aggies. Robinson attends Chalmette High School in Louisiana.

"We just liked the campus, the environment, and the people," his mother, Kesha Hall told CBS Sports. "Mitchell and I both were impressed with the weight training. We both felt very comfortable."

Robinson spent the summer playing AAU ball with the Alabama Challenge, flashing athleticism and shot-blocking ability. His other offers included Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and LSU. His commitment marks the latest recruiting win for Texas A&M after commitments from two four-star players in the past six months: 2016 point guard J.J. Caldwell and post Robert Williams.

Texas A&M went 21–12 last season and made the post-season NIT.
