Campus Clicks: Bad weekend for refs, Texas DB retweets during halftime

Monday's Campus Clicks: Bad weekend for refs, Texas defensive back retweets during halftime of blowout

Rough Day for Refs

Saturday was a tough day for numerous college football referees, with two inexplicable mistakes receiving serious coverage. Oklahoma State was given a free first down during their win over Kansas State that led to a touchdown later in the drive. In the Big Ten, refs made a crucial fourth down error that hurt Illinois. Luckily, the Illini still defeated Nebraska or Illinois fans would be losing their mind.

Who Does That?

Apparently someone broke into the house of Mississippi State assistant athletics director Bill Martin and stole numerous items, including championship rings from his time at LSU:

Foreshadowing?

Texas DB Kris Boyd had a big error in judgment at halftime of their blowout loss to TCU. The freshman retweeted someone's call for him to transfer to Texas A&M.

Aaron Golub

This is pretty remarkable story: Tulane long snapper Aaron Golub became the first legally blind player in NCAA football history. SI's Chris Scarnati wrote this fantastic piece on him in May.

Tally Sepot

Horrific news: Last weekend, Penn State sophomore Tally Sepot was killed in a car accident while returning from a charity fundraiser for children fighting cancer. Her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, raised a whopping $38,000 in her memory. Rest in peace, Tally.

Former Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville was back in Auburn this weekend to root on the Tigers, whom his son plays for. But he still donned a Cincinnati hat:
