In the second Big Ten test of the season for both teams, Penn State (4–1, 1–0 Big Ten) hosts Indiana (4–1, 0–1 Big Ten) on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.

Since losing their season-opener to Temple, the Nittany Lions have won four straight, including last week's 20–14 victory over Army. Against the Black Knights, Nittany Lions quarterback Christian Hackenberg passed for 156 yards and one touchdown in the win.

The Hoosiers are coming off a 34–27 loss to No. 1 Ohio State, during which the Buckeyes were pushed to their limits. Indiana lost running back Jordan Howard and starting quarterback Nate Sudfeld in the game, both due to left ankle injuries.

Indiana has not faired well against Penn State in its history, going 1–17 all-time against the Nittany Lions and 0–8 as visitors in Happy Valley.
