Watch: Clemson’s Dabo Swinney goes off after ‘Clemsoning’ question
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney lost it after a reporter used the term “Clemsoning” at his postgame press conference.
The Tigers had just blown out Georgia Tech, with 537 total yards of offense in a 43–24 win. But Swinney was heated after he was asked how his team prepared to buck the trend of “losing games they're supposed to win,” as the question put it.
Swinney called it ridiculous that the reporter used that term, mentioning other teams that lose to unranked opponents all the time. He noted that Clemson had not lost to an unranked opponent since 2011. He called it a lack of respect for him and his team, and went on at length in defense of the Clemson program, which entered the weekend ranked No. 6 and is now 5–0.
