Campus Clicks: Tough times at USC, Dabo Swinney not a fan of "Clemsoning"

Monday's Campus Clicks: Steve Sarkisian takes leave of absence at USC, Dabo Swinney hates the word "Clemsoning"

Steve Sarkisian

This isn't what USC folks had in mind when AD Pat Haden lured Steve Sarkisian away from Washington last year. It was announced on Sunday that Sarkisian would take a leave of absence from the program, three days after the Trojans lost to Washington at home.

Unsurprisingly (especially with reports claiming he was intoxicated during the Arizona State game), sources have said that Sarkisian is not likely to return in 2015. SI's Andy Staples wonders what happens next at USC and Bleacher Report's Bryan Fischer says Haden deserves blame for the current mess in Los Angeles.

Additionally from Trojan Land, center Max Tuerk is out for the season with a torn ACL and five-star linebacker Daelin Hayes decomitted from the Trojans on Sunday night amid the Sarkisian reports.

Clemsoning

According to Urban Dictionary, Clemsoning is "The act of delivering an inexplicably disappointing performance, usually within the context of a college football season."

In case you missed it, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney is not a fan of the word or the definition:

Staying Busy

Suspended Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk spent some of his Saturday favoriting tweets that mocked his replacement Drew Lock. Classy.

Magician

Chris Petersen is known for rolling the dice with trick plays, with his latest exploit coming in their win over USC last Thursday. Here are the best trick plays ever executed by a Petersen-coached team.

Not Cool

The Oregon mascot began trolling Washington State this week by tweeting a series of hilarious Oregon Trail messages. However, it was the Cougars that prevailed on Saturday in Eugene and they squashed the Ducks in glorious fashion:

A Win is a Win?

Wake Forest coach Dave Clawson celebrated their 3-0 win over Boston College in spectacular fashion, reminding some of Frank Beamer's reaction last season after their 0-0 game with Wake went to overtime:

It's been a tough season for Rutgers but at least their interim coach, Norries Wilson, has serious heart:
