Coaches Crushing Headlines

Although numerous coaches find themselves on the hot seat every October and everyone loves talking about the "what ifs," it's still rare that we see so many of their names dominating headlines before the official coaching carousel begins in December.

USC is beginning to pick up the pieces and move on from another head coach after officially announcing the dismissal of Steve Sarkisian. But school president Max Nikias still backs AD Pat Haden, whom has come under serious fire for his hiring of Sarkisian and his handling of the situation.

Meanwhile in the SEC, Arby's tried to capitalize on Steve Spurrier's decision to leave South Carolina and Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema isn't too concerned with his critics, saying "Bring it on, baby."

And in case you missed it (because UCF is very far down on the priority list for many fans), George O'Leary is stepping down as interim AD but will remain the Golden Knights' coach.

Apparently Florida DT Jon Bullard missed that quote by Ford or is just supremely confident in the Gators defense because he issued a similar comment this week ahead of their game with the Tigers:
