Maryland to wear 1961-inspired throwback uniform against PSU

The Maryland Terrapins will wear a new uniform inspired by their threads from the 1961 season when they play against Penn State on Saturday.
The “1961 Flashback Uniforms” will pay homage to the season in which Maryland last defeated the Nittany Lions at home. The Terrapins beat Penn State on the road last season, but have not won against the Lions at home in 44 years.
This week’s game, which will actually be played in Baltimore at the Ravens’ home field as opposed to Byrd Stadium, will be the first for interim Maryland coach Mike Locksley. Former coach Randy Edsall was fired on Oct. 11.
The Terrapins are 2–4 and on a three-game losing streak. The Nittany Lions are 5–2 and coming off their first loss since Week 1.
