Three-star forward Mitch Lightfoot commits to Kansas

Three-star forward Mitch Lightfoot has committed to Kansas, he announced on Saturday.
Lightfoot, who is the No. 117 recruit in the nation according to Rivals.com, had offers from multiple schools including Arizona, Utah and Stanford.
The 6’8”, 210-pound Arizona native averaged 17.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game in his junior year at Gilbert High School.
Lightfoot is the first commit of Kansas’s 2016 class. He was born in Kansas City, spent his early childhood in the metro area and and still has family that resides there, reports Rustin Dodd of the Kansas City Star.

The Jayhawks have three senior forwards, Perry Ellis, Jamari Traylor and Hunter Mickelson, who will graduate after this season.
