Florida State

Last season: 20-14, lost in second round of the NIT.

Nickname: Seminoles.

Coach: Leonard Hamilton.

Conference: Atlantic Coast.

Who's gone: G Malik Beasley, G Devon Bookert, C Boris Bojanovsky.

Who's back: G Dwayne Bacon. The sophomore is the team's returning scorer (15.6 points last season) and rebounder (5.6); G Xavier Rathan-Mayes. The junior point guard averaged 11.8 points last season and was sixth in the ACC in assists (4.4); C Michael Ojo. The senior missed all of last season due to a knee injury but has played in 96 games.

Who's new: F Jonathan Isaac. The freshman can play small forward but has the quickness and perimeter shooting of a guard; G Braian Angola-Rodas. The junior was a first-team Junior College All-American selection last year at North Idaho Community College after averaging 21.4 points and shooting 51 percent from the field.

The Skinny: The Seminoles haven't made the NCAA Tournament since 2012 but have a strong recruiting class for the second straight year. They have the right mix of youth and experience which should allow them to improve in conference play.
