Iowa cannot boast numerous big-time victories (they have victories over Illinois State, Iowa State and North Texas) but they have managed to land square in the midseason playoff discussion, a discussion that that 110-plus other teams are not in and one that, barring an unexpected loss to an inferior opponent, they should remain in for the balance of the regular season.
