Key returners: Senior Jarrod Uthoff, who averaged 12.4 points last season, is expected to play an even bigger role within the offense. Center Adam Woodbury will get as many minutes as he can prove he can handle, and point guard Mike Gesell is finally healthy after battling shoulder issues last year. Look for a big season from swingman Peter Jok, a potential breakout star.

Who left: One of the best players in school history in Aaron White, who led the Hawkeyes in just about every statistic imaginable, and Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year Gabe Olaseni.

The Skinny: The Hawkeyes have the pieces in place for a third straight NCAA Tournament bid. A big season from Uthoff could propel Iowa to a top-four Big Ten finish.
