Missouri QB Maty Mauk reinstated after four-game suspension
Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk was reinstated by the team on Sunday after serving a four-game suspension for violating team rules, reports Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Disptach.
Mauk and offensive tackle Malik Cuellar were suspended indefinitely for undisclosed team violations on Sept. 29. Cuellar was cleared to play after missing one game, while Mauk rejoined the team during its bye this week. There has been no indication whether Mauk will play in the Tigers’ next game.
Mauk has posted a 17–5 record as Missouri’s starting quarterback since 2013. In 28 career games, Mauk has completed 52.7 percent of his passes, tallying 4373 yards, 42 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.
Freshman Drew Lock has played in Mauk’s absence, going 62 for 127 with 538 yards and two touchdowns.
The Tigers (4–4) play No. 25 Mississippi State (6–2) at home on Nov. 5.
