North Dakota State holds off Southern Illinois 35-29

CARBONDALE, Ill. (AP) Easton Stick threw for two touchdowns and ran for 130 yards to help North Dakota State to a 35-29 win over Southern Illinois on Saturday.

Trailing 10-7 late in the second quarter, NDSU (6-2, 4-1 Missouri Valley) took the lead for good with a 10-yard touchdown run by Chase Morlock that capped a 93-yard drive. Southern Illinois (3-5, 2-3) held close until the fourth quarter, when NDSU's King Frazier broke away for a 50-yard touchdown run that made it 28-19 and the Bison then held off a late Saluki surge.

Frazier also had a 51-yard run and finished with a career-high 177 yards on 16 carries, while Morlock ran in his second TD of the game midway through the fourth quarter.

Mark Iannotti was 28 of 45 for 277 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown pass and a 2-yard TD run for Southern Illinois.
