Kareem Walker, the nation’s top running back recruit according to Rivals, has rescinded his verbal commitment to Ohio State, he announced on Twitter.

“It is after much consideration, thought and meeting multiple times with my family and coaches that I’m rescinding my verbal commitment to Ohio State,” Walker wrote in a statement posted to Twitter. “At this point the relationship has changed. I’ve wrestled with this for a few months and truly wanted it to work out. However I do not think it is fair to Ohio State or myself to remain committed when my heart is telling me otherwise.”

After committing to play for the Buckeyes in January and visiting the school twice over the summer, Walker visited Michigan on Oct. 10 and said Tuesday that he would continue to visit schools before making a final decision.

He has visits planned to Alabama and Ole Miss among other schools.
