The College Football Playoff and SEC title game picture will see a shake-up as AP No. 4 LSU takes on No. 7 Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Saturday.

Both teams enter well-rested after respective bye-weeks. LSU improved to 8–0 with a victory against Western Kentucky on Oct. 24. Running back Leonard Fournette is a Heisman candidate, but quarterback Brandon Harris starred in the Tigers' last victory, as he passed for a career-high 286 yards. He threw three touchdowns.

Last year, the Crimson Tide beat LSU 20–13 in overtime in Baton Rouge. Alabama enters with a 7–1 record with their lone loss coming at the hands of Ole Miss earlier in the season. The team narrowly escaped another upset with a late Derrick Henry touchdown with 2:24 left as Alabama defeated Tennessee 19-14. Quarterback Jake Coker finished the game going 21-of-27 for 247 yards with one interception.
