• Why does the College Football Playoff selection committee hate the Big 12? In the second edition of this year's playoff rankings, released Tuesday, the highest-ranked team from the conference was Baylor, at No. 6.

• Does Oklahoma State need "body clock" issues and a quality loss to be considered for the playoff? How is a win over Temple considered more significant than a win over TCU? The Cowboys were slotted at No. 8 in the rankings this week even though they're undefeated and crushed No. 15 TCU on Saturday.
