Last year the Big 12 was left out of the College Football Playoff. It entered the final week of the season with two contenders vying for a berth, but neither Baylor nor TCU ultimately cracked the four-team field. That bred disappointment, anger and ridicule, the latter a result of the league's "One True Champion" mantra.

This year the Big 12 has several teams still in the hunt, but those programs will need to navigate a brutal November to bolster their résumés. A round-robin schedule has transformed into a series of knockout rounds, as the conference's best squads will face off in succession.

The big game this week takes places in Waco, Texas, where true freshman quarterback Jarrett Stidham and Baylor will host dynamic dual-threat playmaker Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma. Who will emerge victorious? Get excited for the showdown with the video below.
