The Scarlet Knights come in at 3–6 and 1–5 in conference play, after falling 49–16 to Michigan last week. Quarterback Chris Laviano threw for just 97 yards, while the Scarlet Knights rushed for 128 yards on 32 carries in the loss.

The Cornhuskers held off No. 7 Michigan State 39–38 last week for an impressive win. Nebraska scored three touchdowns on the ground, and amassed 179 yards on 36 carries, while quarterback Tommy Armstrong threw for 320 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
