UCLA to honor Navy SEALs with helmets vs. Washington State

UCLA will honor the Navy SEALs with a helmet tribute on Saturday against Washington State.
Saturday’s contest, which is both UCLA’s Military Appreciation game and its last home game of the season, will feature a matte-finished black helmet with the SEALs’ “frogman” logo on it.
In a tweet posted by UCLA Athletics on Thursday, the department cited its “long-standing relationship with the Navy SEAL community” as its reason for the salute.
The Bruins need to defeat the Cougars on Saturday in order to have a chance at capturing the Pac-12 South title. They also need to win against Utah next week to make an appearance in the conference title game on Dec. 5.
