Duquesne cruises past Division-II Seton Hill 96-71

PITTSBURGH (AP) Darius Lewis had 15 points and 11 rebounds on Friday night, and Duquesne opened its 100th season with a 96-71 victory over Division-II Seton Hill.

The Dukes started the game with 20-4 run and maintained a comfortable lead most of the way in the opening game of the Gulf Coast Showcase.

Seton Hill used a 9-0 run to pull within 25-19 with 5:57 left in the first half, but the Griffins would get no closer.

Derrick Colter and Micah Mason added 15 points apiece, Eric James scored 14 and L.G. Gill had 11 with nine rebounds for Duquesne.

Noah Davis had 15 points, Tyler Bowling scored 14 and Kameron Taylor added 12 and 10 assists for the Griffins.

Duquesne hosts New Orleans on Monday in the second game of the Pittsburgh half of the Gulf Coast Showcase.
