Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds set the FBS record for rushing touchdowns on Saturday.

The record came on a four-yard run in the first quarter of the Midshipmen’s game against SMU, the 78th rushing touchdown of Reynolds’s career. The senior broke the record previously held by Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball.

Reynolds ran the ball 168 times for 791 yards and 13 touchdowns entering Saturday. Most of his scores on the ground came in the last two seasons, as Reynolds ran for 54 touchdowns from 2013–14.

Reynolds’s most explosive game on the ground this season came in September, when he ran for five scores against East Carolina.
