Notre Dame running back Josh Adams is filling in admirably for starter C.J. Prosise.

A week after running for 147 yards on 20 carries, Adams ran for 98 yards and a touchdown in one play against Wake Forest on Sunday. Adams is filling in for the senior Prosise, who sustained an injury in the first quarter against Pittsburgh.

The Adams run set the Notre Dame record for longest play from scrimmage, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

The 8–1 Fighting Irish entered Saturday at No. 4 in the College Football playoff rankings.
