Radford used a late three from guard Rashun Davis to upset the GeorgetownHoyas82–80 in double overtime on Saturday, in what was the season-opener for both schools.

Davis finished with a game-high 28 points on 12 of 19 shooting, but failed to put Radford ahead late, when he missed two free throws down 80–79 with under 40 seconds left.

The Hoyas took the ball down the floor, and L.J. Peak missed a game-sealing three with 14 seconds left. Radford, with one timeout left, decided to let Davis take the ball up the floor, and he fearlessly pulled up for the game-winner from deep three-point range.

The Hoyas inbounded the ball with just over a second left, but were unable to get a shot off before time expired.

Radford, out of the Big South, is now 1–0 with VCU up next on Monday, while Georgetown is now 0–1 and travels to Maryland to play the No. 3 Terrapins on Tuesday.
