Brown's big day leads Cal Poly to 55-38 win over UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Chris Brown threw three TD passes, ran for one and also caught a touchdown, leading an explosive Cal Poly attack to a 55-38 win over UC Davis on Saturday.

Brown rushed for 155 yards, including a 22-yard score to give Cal Poly (4-6, 3-4 Big Sky) a 34-14 halftime lead. He finished 6 of 9 for 153 yards and three TD passes, leading an offense that totaled 669 yards, including 486 rushing.

UC Davis (1-9, 1-6) responded with scores on its next four possessions, cutting Cal Poly's lead to 3. Brown led the Mustangs on a 90-yard drive, capping it off with a 5-yard pass to Willie Tucker.

The Aggies went three-and-out, and DJ Peluso ran it in from 19 yards to ice it.

C.J. Spencer passed for 301 yards on 25-of-37 passing for the Aggies. Manusamoa Luuga scored twice and had 83 yards on 12 attempts.
