Hot-shooting Richmond defeats Stetson 108-85

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) T.J. Cline hit 4 of 5 3-pointers on his way to a career-high 27 points as Richmond defeated Stetson 108-85 on Sunday.

Cline sank 11 of 16 shots overall, and the Spiders (1-1) made 15 3-pointers in the win - 10 in the first half - besting last season's high of 14 in a game.

ShawnDre' Jones also went 4 for 5 from beyond the arc, sinking 8 of 10 shots from the floor for 21 points. Terry Allen scored 15, and Marshall Wood added 17 off the bench.

Wood and Deion Taylor had nine rebounds each and Richmond out-boarded Stetson (0-1) 45-32, with 30 defensive rebounds.

The Hatters were held to 47 percent shooting (33 of 70) and saw 10 shots blocked by Richmond - three each by Allen, Taylor and Wood.

Cameron Harvey led six Hatters in double figures with 17 points.

The game was part of the opening round of the Las Vegas Invitational.
