IPFW pulls away from Manchester in 1st half of 85-53 win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) Max Landis scored 14 points, DeAngelo Stewart added 13 and IPFW beat Division III Manchester 85-53 on Monday night.

The Mastodons led 15-13 with 11:52 left in the first half before a 23-8 spurt put the game out of reach. IPFW was 11 of 15 from the free-throw line during that stretch.

Landis was 5 for 9 from the field and 4 for 5 from the 3-point line for IPFW (1-1). Stewart made four of his seven shots and had six rebounds. Kason Harrell and Racine Talla both scored 10 for the Mastodons.

IPFW had 18 assists, 10 steals and 16 of its 31 rebounds were on the offensive end.

Robie Johnson led Manchester with 15 points and four steals. The Spartans have lost six in a row in the series.
