Army beats Fairleigh Dickinson 96-85

TEANECK, N.J. (AP) Kyle Wilson scored 36 points as Army beat Fairleigh Dickinson 96-85 on Wednesday night.

Wilson was 13 of 17 from the field including eight from distance for the Black Knights (3-0). Kevin Ferguson had 20 points and nine rebounds and Tanner Plomb added 16 points and led the team with 16 rebounds. The team hit 64.8 percent from the field overall, 60.0 percent from the line and 52.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Army went up 26-12 on back-to-back 3-pointers by Adam Roe midway through the first period and the Black Knights led 52-39 at the break.

Fairleigh Dickinson trailed by double-digits through much of the second period but closed the gap to 82-77 with 3:50 to play. Then Wilson hit a pair of 3s to stretch it to 88-77 and Army cruised to the win.

Darrian Anderson had 22 points for the Knights (1-2).
