Camara leads New Hampshire over Holy Cross 73-69

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) Pat McNamara hit 5 of his 6 3-pointers in the second half to help New Hampshire build a big lead and withstand a Holy Cross rally in a 73-69 win on Thursday night.

McNamara led the Wildcats (2-1) with 18 points, hitting 6 of 9 3-point tries. Iba Camara had 14 points and 18 rebounds. Jaleen Smith and Tanner Leissner added 13 points each for New Hampshire, which shot 56.3 percent from the floor, including 10 of 19 from 3-point range (52.6 percent). Camara's big night on the boards gave the Wildcats a 34-20 advantage on the glass to help offset 15 turnovers.

Robert Champion led the Crusaders (1-2) with 19 points.

The Wildcats built a 15-point lead with 11:21 left in the game. The Crusaders got within 71-69 in the final minute. New Hampshire held on despite going without a field goal over the final 3:44.
