Tulsa rallies from 19 down to beat Ohio 90-88

ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands (AP) Shaquille Harrison scored 23 of his career-high 31 points in the second half and Tulsa overcame a 19-point deficit to beat Ohio 90-88 on Friday in the Paradise Jam.

Tulsa (3-0) used a press to slow Ohio (2-1) after the Bobcats shot 61.5 percent and were 8 of 10 from 3-point range in the first half.

Tulsa put together a 14-0 run to go up 86-81 with 1:34 left. A 3-pointer by Jordan Dartis cut it to 88-87 with 10 seconds left, but James Woodard made two free throws with 6 seconds remaining. Ohio's Jaaron Simmons made a free throw with 2 seconds left, then threw his second shot off the rim - and Tulsa grabbed the rebound.

Ohio committed 23 turnovers, 16 in the second half.

Simmons led Ohio with 30 points.

There were 86 free throws. Tulsa was 34 of 46, and Ohio 30 of 40.
