Report: LSU coach Les Miles could lose job even with two more wins
LSU Tigers football coach Les Miles could lose his job even if the team wins the next two games, LSU board of supervisors member Ronald Anderson told Gannett Louisianaon Friday.
“I think if he wins the next two games, it’s still something that needs to be looked at,” Anderson said. “It’s the way they lost the two games.”
The school is ranked No. 15 in the country with a 7–2 record on the season, and coming off a 31–14 loss to Aekansas last week, and a 30–16 defeat at the hands of Alabama.
“If he wins them both, that complicates it,” Anderson told the paper. “That’s my opinion. It’s not just the number of losses, but the quality of the losses. The next two games are really important to deciding the future of the program. And you’ve got to look at the progress of the program from the standpoint of a number of years.”
Miles has gone 110–32 in 11 seasons as LSU’s coach, with a 60–26 record in the SEC.
