Davis scores 18, Radford beats Prairie View A&M 64-56

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Rashun Davis had 18 points, Ed Polite Jr. added 10 points and 10 rebounds and Radford used a late run to beat Prairie View A&M 64-56 in the consolation game of the 2K Classic sub-regional at Bryant on Saturday.

The Highlanders (3-2) led 50-48 when Davis' basket at the 4-minute mark sparked an 8-2 run which he capped with a pair of free throws at 58-50 and 1:31 left.

Tevin Bellinger's free throws pulled the Panthers (0-4) within 61-56 with a minute to go, but Prairie View went scoreless while Radford made 3 of 6 free throws.

Darius Bolstad added 10 points for the Highlanders, who outrebounded the Panthers 41-29.

Jayrn Johnson led the Panthers with 19 points. Admassu Williams added 14 and Karim York scored 12.

Prairie View opened the game with a 12-5 lead and led 40-38 with 12:10 left.
