Niagara edges NC A&T in 73-72 win

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) Marvin Prochet sank the winning bucket to cap a last-minute comeback and lift Niagara to a 73-72 win over NC A&T on Sunday.

Trailing by 6 with 17 seconds to play, Niagara (2-3) got a bucket from Emile Blackman followed by Justin Satchell's 3-point play after a turnover that cut it to 72-71. The Purple Eagles then forced another turnover at the other end, setting up Prochet's winning bucket with 2 seconds left.

Blackman finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, Prochet had 14 points and Satchell 13. Matt Scott added 11 and dished out seven assists for Niagara, which shot 49 percent from the floor on 55 attempts to win the consolation matchup in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament's Springfield Bracket.

Bruce Beckford led the Aggies (0-5) with 17 points and nine rebounds. Sam Hunt added 14 points and seven assists, and Ahmad Abdullah scored 13 points.
