Jankovic, Valdes lead Hawaii past Nicholls State, 99-74

HONOLULU (AP) Stefan Jankovic scored 22 points and Aaron Valdes added 20 more as Hawaii rolled to a 99-44 win over Nicholls State Sunday night.

Hawaii improves to 4-0 after winning its own Rainbow Classic tournament.

Roderick Bobbitt, the first Big West Conference Player of the Week, dished out 10 assists, grabbed seven rebounds and scored 11 points for Hawaii after setting a tournament single game record with 14 assists against Montana State.

The Rainbow Warriors came out firing against the Nicholls State, hitting 23 of their first 33 shots (69.7 percent) and 4 of their first 8 shots from beyond the arc to take a 54-28 lead at intermission. Hawaii finished shooting 39 of 59 (66.1 percent) and 10 of 23 from distance.

Ja'Dante' Frye and T.J. Carpenter scored 27 and 25 points, respectively, to lead Nicholls State (1-2).
