Texas head coach Charlie Strong: ‘I'm not going anywhere’
Texas football head coach Charlie Strong has assured his players that he will not be leaving the Longhorns, despite rumors linking him to the Miami Hurricanes head coaching position, reports Ryan Autullo of the Austin American-Statesman.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Strong said he told his players. “I have a commitment here.”
Miami has reportedly expressed interest in Strong, who has ties to the state of Florida after previously serving as an assistant coach for the University of Florida.
Strong will be paid $5 million per year in 2016, 2017 and 2018 with the Longhorns.
