Fordham cruises to 84-58 victory over Colgate

NEW YORK (AP) Joseph Chartouny had 15 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Fordham cruised to an 84-58 victory over Colgate on Tuesday night.

Ryan Rhoomes scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting to lead the Rams (3-1). Mandell Thomas had 17 points with five assists, and Christian Sengfelder chipped in 13 points.

Tom Rivard had 11 points for Colgate (1-3). Alex Ramon and Jordan Swopshire added eight points apiece, and Austin Tillotson had four points with seven assists.

Swopshire made a layup to pull the Raiders to 24-22 with five minute left in the half. The Rams answered with three consecutive 3-pointers by Thomas, Antwoine Anderson, and Chartouny to spark a 14-2 run. Colgate's David Favorite made a 3-pointer just before the half and Fordham led 38-27.

The Rams opened the second half on a 14-7 surge and led 52-34 with 14 minutes left. Sengfelder scored six points during the span.
