Baker Mayfield, Samaje Perine expected to play vs. Oklahoma State
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and running backs Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon are expected to play Saturday against No. 6 Oklahoma State, coach Bob Stoops said Friday.
Mayfield, a potential Heisman candidate, left last Saturday’s win over TCU with a head injury and did not return. He passed concussion tests and has practiced every day since Wednesday.
Perine and Mixon have also participated in practice after leaving last week’s game with ankle injuries.
Mayfield has completed 68.7% of his passes this season for 3,209 yards and 33 touchdowns, with just 5 interceptions. Perine and Mixon have combined for 1,773 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.
