Report: Notre Dame RB C.J. Prosise will not play against Stanford

Notre Dame running back C.J. Prosise will not play against Stanford, reports Mike Vorel of the South Bend Tribune.

Prosise was listed as questionable during the week with a high ankle sprain. On Saturday, Prosise was on crutches and not in uniform during warmups. 

Prosise, a senior, has missed one game this season due to injury. He has carried the ball 156 times for 1,032 yards and 11 touchdowns in 10 games. 

Josh Adams has mainly filled in for Prosise when the senior has missed time. Adams has four touchdowns and 589 yards on 85 carries.
