Derrick Henry now holds the all-time record for rushing yards in a single season in Alabama history.

Henry earned the record Saturday during the Iron Bowl against Auburn. Henry broke the record in the third quarter, surpassing Trent Richardson’s previous mark of 1,679 yards in a season.

Through three quarters against the Tigers, Henry had racked up 1,682 yards in the 2015 season.

In his career Henry, a junior, had carried the ball 457 times for 2,898 yards and 35 touchdowns entering Saturday. Henry was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, choosing Alabama over Florida, Notre Dame, Clemson and others.
